Vitality Academy have added 18-year-old Romanian player Ionuț “Yoghi” Arba to complete their five-player roster. The former HEROIC Academy member replaces benched in-game leader Kirill “Dafra1D” Polieiko in the first lineup change since the project joined the Vitality organization.

Yoghi joins Katkame, lucaZ, Reqqen and patrenzo under coach Pablo “VdaK1NG” Escobar. Vitality have not publicly detailed a new leadership structure in the available announcement, so the signing confirms the fifth player but leaves the distribution of calling duties to be demonstrated in competition.

The move keeps the academy’s development profile intact. Every active player is 18 or younger: Katkame is 16, Reqqen 17, while lucaZ, patrenzo and Yoghi are 18. That age range makes improvement and role education central to the project, rather than expecting the immediate stability of an experienced professional roster.

Yoghi also arrives with relevant academy experience. Moving from HEROIC Academy means he has already worked within a structured development environment, but changing organizations still requires him to learn new communication patterns, positions and expectations.

The signing fills the lineup but creates a leadership question

Dafra1D’s move to the bench removed the team’s listed in-game leader. Replacing him with Yoghi restores the five-player count, yet it does not automatically identify who will make the calls. Vitality may assign the responsibility internally, divide parts of it between players or use the preparation period to test more than one solution.

For an academy team, that uncertainty can be part of the development process. Learning to communicate round plans, recognize mid-round changes and review mistakes is valuable even for players who do not become permanent captains. VdaK1NG’s coaching role becomes particularly important while the lineup establishes a workable hierarchy.

The updated roster combines five young players from five countries:

  • Thiebault “Katkame” Ulysse of France, age 16.
  • Luca-Adrian “lucaZ” Gavrilut of Romania, age 18.
  • Aleks “Reqqen” Frolov of Estonia, age 17.
  • Patrik “patrenzo” Hauer of Slovakia, age 18.
  • Ionuț “Yoghi” Arba of Romania, age 18.

The international composition gives Vitality access to a wider talent pool, but it also makes common terminology and clear protocols essential. Young teams can lose time when several players interpret the same situation differently, so the early value of the signing will be measured as much through coordination as through individual statistics.

Yoghi’s first responsibility is therefore not to reproduce one isolated rating. He must fit the team’s role map, communicate consistently and help the group maintain structure after losing its previous caller. Those requirements are especially important when all five players are still building professional experience.

The benching of Dafra1D should also be described accurately. He remains listed on the bench, while Yoghi occupies the active position. The available announcement does not say that Dafra1D has left Vitality or joined another team.

Vitality preserve the academy’s long-term purpose

Academy rosters are designed to create options for future competition, not simply to copy the senior team. A successful project teaches players how to prepare, work with coaching staff and perform within professional schedules while giving the organization a closer view of their development.

Yoghi’s signing fits that purpose because he remains within the same age band as the rest of the lineup and already understands academy competition. His addition does not guarantee a particular result, but it gives Vitality a complete group that can resume regular structured practice instead of operating with an open fifth position.

The next official matches will answer the questions the announcement cannot: who leads, how the roles change and whether the new five can turn individual potential into repeatable team play. Until those games occur, the clear news is the completed roster and the continued bench status of Dafra1D. Early results should also be interpreted in context: a young lineup may need several match cycles to settle positions, vocabulary and review habits before its long-term level becomes visible.

Katkame France Active
lucaZ Romania Active
Reqqen Estonia Active

Vitality Academy have resolved their open fifth position by bringing in Yoghi from another established development program. The move preserves a young international lineup and gives the coaching staff a full roster to work with.

Leadership is now the main competitive question after Dafra1D’s benching. Vitality have confirmed the personnel change; the new hierarchy and the effectiveness of the five will need to be established on the server. Those answers should come from official matches and direct team communication, not assumptions based only on the roster announcement.
