Vitality ended their wait for a trophy by beating Aurora 3-1 in the StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 grand final. The champions took Anubis 13-4, lost Inferno 11-13, then answered with a 13-4 win on Mirage and a 13-7 finish on Cache. The result gave Vitality their first title since BLAST Rivals in May and reversed the outcome of the upper-bracket final, where Aurora had beaten them 2-1 one day earlier.
The title required more than one successful series on the final day in Barcelona. Vitality first defeated FURIA 2-0 in the consolidation final and then returned for the best-of-five against Aurora, completing six maps across the two matches. Aurora entered the final with the advantage of a direct upper-bracket route, but Vitality handled the heavier schedule and controlled three of the four maps that were played.
The veto created a broad test of both teams. Aurora removed Dust2 and Vitality removed Ancient before the finalists selected Anubis, Inferno, Mirage and Cache in that order. Nuke was left as the deciding map, but Vitality never allowed the series to reach it. That matters because Aurora had already shown they could win a close series against the same opponent; this final was not decided by unfamiliarity, but by Vitality producing a much stronger response on a new set of maps.
Anubis immediately established the direction of the match. Vitality built a 9-3 first-half lead and conceded only one round after the side switch. mezii was particularly effective in the opening half, while the team as a whole kept Aurora from turning isolated rounds into a stable economy. A 13-4 start did not guarantee the trophy in a best-of-five, but it meant Aurora had to recover while Vitality could dictate the pace of the series.
Vitality absorb Aurora’s Inferno response
Aurora did produce that recovery on Inferno. They led 7-5 at halftime and closed the map 13-11, making it the only genuinely extended contest of the final. The result levelled the series and showed why the upper-bracket winners had reached the title match without needing the consolidation route. It also prevented Vitality from turning their dominant Anubis into a quick sweep.
Vitality’s answer on Mirage was sharper than Aurora’s response had been on Inferno. They reached an 8-4 advantage in the first half, then won every round after the switch to finish 13-4. With two one-sided map wins around a narrow loss, Vitality entered Cache one victory from the trophy and with the statistical balance of the series firmly in their favour.
ZywOo was the leading individual performer in the final. He finished the four maps with 71 kills and 44 deaths, a 1.51 rating, 95.3 average damage per round and an 80.8 percent KAST figure. The contribution was not isolated: flameZ recorded a 1.28 rating, ropz 1.19 and mezii 1.18. Aurora’s best rating came from Wicadia at 1.15, but that was not enough to match Vitality’s wider spread of impact.

- Anubis: Vitality won 13-4 after building a 9-3 first-half lead.
- Inferno: Aurora answered with a 13-11 victory and briefly levelled the series.
- Mirage: Vitality won 13-4 and did not concede a round after halftime.
- Cache: Vitality closed the grand final 13-7, leaving Nuke unplayed.
Those scores show that Inferno was the exception rather than the pattern. Aurora took the closest map, but Vitality won the other three by a combined margin of 39 rounds to 15. The distinction is important when assessing the series: Aurora were capable of punishing mistakes and extending the final, yet Vitality repeatedly reset the match before the pressure could carry from one map into the next.
Cache completed that pattern. Vitality led 7-5 at halftime and allowed only two rounds on the second half. The final 13-7 score was less severe than the results on Anubis and Mirage, but the closing phase was controlled. Aurora never reached Nuke, the map reserved as the decider, and Vitality converted their first championship opportunity of the series.
A six-map day ends a four-month title gap
The trophy also changes the immediate context around Vitality’s season. Their previous title had come at BLAST Rivals in May, and the months that followed included a loss of form as well as mezii’s period away on parental leave. StarSeries Fall was therefore more than another deep playoff run. It was the first tournament since May at which the regular five completed the week as champions.
The route on the final day adds weight to the achievement without needing to exaggerate the level of opposition. Vitality played two separate series, eliminated FURIA 2-0 and then faced an Aurora side that had beaten them in the upper final. Winning the rematch 3-1 required an immediate tactical reset and enough stamina to remain precise through a sixth map of the day.
Aurora still leave the event with evidence of progress. They defeated Vitality in the upper bracket, reached the grand final directly and won Inferno in the title match. The final nevertheless exposed the gap between contesting a series and controlling it. Vitality were dominant on Anubis and Mirage, then finished Cache before Aurora could force the deciding map.

| Map | Halftime | Final score | Winner |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anubis | Vitality 9-3 | 13-4 | Vitality |
| Inferno | Aurora 7-5 | 13-11 | Aurora |
| Mirage | Vitality 8-4 | 13-4 | Vitality |
| Cache | Vitality 7-5 | 13-7 | Vitality |
Vitality’s 3-1 win was built on three convincing maps, a balanced group of high ratings and the strongest individual performance of the final from ZywOo. Aurora’s Inferno victory kept the match competitive, but it never developed into sustained control of the series.
After four months without a trophy, Vitality leave Barcelona as StarSeries Fall champions. The result also settles the weekend’s direct rivalry: Aurora won the upper-bracket meeting, but Vitality won the rematch that decided the title.
